Oh my word! Never take the Chinese bus from Philly to DC. Never. Seriously.
On arrival, Matthew helped a French damsel and her baby in distress, surely securing his place in heaven.
DC, the capital and time to get a beer and some food after the journey. 'I'll just have a bar snack,' says Matthew. 15 chicken wings and a bucket of nachos later, we arrange our evening with Jeremy AKA Jezebel, Lynne's friend from the Madrid days.
A fab evening follows, with drinks by the waterside then seeing the sights by night, recommended as the weather in DC is unbearable at the moment. We then go for a spot of dinner, Matthew choosing a delightful chilli cheeseburger, which was actually a burger covered with chilli con carne, another nutritious and low fat choice!
