Day 3

The day began with a walk across Brooklyn Bridge, and yes Katie, we only went halfway! The walk back enabled us to come across our first American nutter, which was lovely! He was shouting abuse at himself and anyone else he passed; care in the community obviously not a priority in this part of town!
Katz's was next on the agenda, for 2 reasons- more red meat for Matthew, more cheesy tourism for Lynne! That scene from When Harry Met Sally kept Lynne entertained while the 8 slice thick pastrami sandwich did the trick for Matthew! A slow walk through Greenwich, then back to the hotel for naptime.
A drink of lemonade on the rooftop bar started the evening's adventures. A trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (cos it's free on a Friday) to view Central Park from their rooftop bar. Lynne did extremely well, lasting a whole 30 minutes of art before moaning about being bored!
Onto the bar, we had reservations for- Please Don't Tell. Entering a hotdog shop, we both slipped into the phone booth, picked up the phone and then disappeared through the hidden door into the secret cocktail bar that served hotdogs! What a fun experience. After realising that the novelty was represented in the prices, we left in search of further entertainment. Free live jazz- that'll do! A great night, a fantastic band and more reasonably priced beverages!
